Whether you’re in the market for a job move or not, wouldn’t it be great to hear about the very best opportunities in the market? Often, we get so caught up in our own busyness that we forget that the grass may be greener elsewhere.

As recruiters, we have access to a number of powerful, behind the scenes tools that allow us to access the best and brightest talent – but how do you get noticed?
We recommend firstly, that you fill in a complete profile on LinkedIn. Your chronological work history is important, as is a few words about your contribution and achievements in each role.
LinkedIn data shows that profiles with photos get 14 times more views than those without – a professional looking head and shoulders photo works best. As LinkedIn is a professional networking site, don’t be tempted to include your partner, pets, or showcase your experience skydiving!
A photo is just the beginning. Think of the featured skills function as your personal search engine optimiser. Those that fill in this searchable section get 13 more profile views on average than those who don’t.
Join relevant groups and participate in the conversation, and add as many professional connections as you can – the more connected you are, the more visible you are in searches.
Finally, update your profile regularly. Everyone in your network sees your updates when you post them, so this is an excellent way to be kept top of mind with your connections.
