The Opportunity

This is a rare and highly visible Head of Strategy opportunity, positioned at the heart of enterprise leadership. Reporting directly into a senior executive, this role will play a defining part in shaping the organisation's future direction while leading a high-performing, multidisciplinary team.

At its core, this role is about leadership, underpinned by strong commercial acumen. You will set the strategic agenda, bring clarity to complex challenges, and lead the organisation through a period of transformation and growth, with a clear focus on delivering sustainable commercial outcomes. Acting as a trusted advisor to the executive team, you will influence decision-making, align priorities across the business, and ensure strategy is closely linked to financial performance, investment decisions and long-term value creation.

You will also play a key role in evaluating and progressing inorganic growth opportunities, including M&A activity, bringing a commercial and strategic lens to investment decisions and business expansion. While the role spans strategy, delivery and business enablement, the emphasis remains on leading people, shaping direction and ensuring the business is positioned for continued growth.

Key Accountabilities

Enterprise Leadership, Strategy & Commercial Direction

  • Define and lead the enterprise-wide strategic direction, ensuring alignment to broader business objectives and financial outcomes

  • Partner closely with senior stakeholders to shape priorities, guide investment decisions and influence P&L performance

  • Identify and assess growth opportunities, including new markets, products and M&A activity

Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead, mentor and inspire a senior team across multiple disciplines

  • Build a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement

  • Uplift capability across the organisation, empowering teams to deliver against strategic and commercial priorities

Strategic Execution Oversight

  • Maintain oversight of key strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment to enterprise goals and measurable business outcomes

  • Support leaders across the business to translate strategy into actionable, commercially viable plans

  • Ensure focus remains on pace, prioritisation and benefits realisation

Transformation & Change Leadership

  • Champion enterprise-wide change, guiding teams through ambiguity and transformation

  • Drive alignment across business units to embed new ways of working

  • Act as a central connector across the organisation, ensuring momentum and cohesion

Ideal Experience

  • Proven experience operating in a senior enterprise leadership role within complex environments

  • Strong track record of linking strategy to commercial outcomes, including P&L ownership or influence

  • Experience evaluating and supporting inorganic growth opportunities, including M&A

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse teams and build high-performance cultures

  • Experience influencing executive stakeholders and operating as a trusted advisor

  • A background in smaller or evolving organisations, with the ability to operate across multiple disciplines and remain hands-on where required

  • Comfortable leading through ambiguity, transformation and change

  • Backgrounds within financial services, asset finance, consulting or similarly complex industries will be highly regarded
