The Company

Our client is a market leader in the General Insurance field and is looking for an experienced Insurance Product Manager to join their team.

The Opportunity

In this role you will be responsible for managing insurance products throughout the product lifecycle from planning to execution, in support of organisational strategy and objectives. You will join a team who are extremely passionate about their products

Responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and driving the product strategy and roadmap to meet the business strategy and vision
  • Researching and analysing market conditions
  • Identify key competitor and consumer trends
  • Articulating market requirements and opportunities
  • Identifying opportunities for product innovation and product enhancements
  • Working with research team regarding product development.
  • Monitoring of the portfolio performance against top level KPIs
  • Possessing the ability to understand and apply legislation/regulations that are applicable to the product and provide guidance to the team.
  • Engaging with customers of the product regularly and monitor all product feedback to understand their needs
  • Driving and executing rapid product remediation where undesired product performance is identified.
  • Working with stakeholders in the process of new sales and tenders for new business.
  • Commitment to a strong culture of risk management & compliance with regulation.
  • Developing and implementing client and customer retention strategies.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field
  • 3+ years' experience in Product Management, preferably in General Insurance Industry.
  • Proven experience in product development, strategy development and proposition formation.
  • Solid understanding of the regulatory requirements in insurance
  • Knowledge of marketing and business management principles and practices.
  • Quantitative and business analysis skills.
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent relationship building and senior stakeholder management skills
  • High levels of energy and enthusiasm, with the ability to influence, engage and lead in a positive and inspiring manner
