The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced insurance product professional to join a high-performing strategy team in a pivotal leadership role. This position will take ownership of a large-scale insurance portfolio, driving ongoing product performance, governance, strategic enhancements and member experience outcomes.

Working across internal teams and external partners, you will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the insurance offering while ensuring products remain competitive, compliant and aligned to evolving customer needs.

This is a Sydney-based hybrid opportunity.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the ongoing management and optimisation of the insurance product portfolio.
  • Partner with senior leadership to shape product strategy, roadmap and future market positioning.
  • Oversee insurer relationships, pricing reviews, contractual obligations and annual product assessments.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery of product enhancements and strategic initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
  • Provide subject matter expertise across insurance in superannuation and broader industry reform initiatives.
  • Use data, insights and market intelligence to identify opportunities to improve member outcomes and portfolio performance.
  • Prepare high-quality papers and recommendations for committees, executive stakeholders and boards.

Ideal Experience

  • Experience in insurance product management, strategy, governance or legal roles within financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of group insurance products, ideally within superannuation, life insurance or wealth management environments.
  • Understanding of regulatory obligations relating to insurance, superannuation and product disclosures.
  • Proven ability to lead complex initiatives across multiple business units and external partners.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance member outcomes, risk and business objectives.
  • Experience preparing board papers, executive reporting and governance submissions.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, law, finance or a related discipline.
