The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic Senior Product Manager to join the team, working closely with the Head of Product to develop market leading solutions. The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for driving the development of core products to enable their customers to run their business's efficiently and to build relationships with their clients.

This is a hands-on, commercially focused role integral to supporting the strategy, development and successful execution of go to market programs and product launches for the segment. Through regular interaction with internal and external customers and keeping abreast of industry changes, the individual will become a subject matter expert, translating market needs to stakeholders from all areas of the business, designing and strengthening product value propositions, advising on market positioning, designing and delivering the go to market model.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop Market intelligence - Partner with customers and prospects to gain an understanding of the marketplace and feed these insights back through the relevant areas of the value chain.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of competitors (direct and indirect), their offering and how our client compares.
  • Utilise intelligence collected from the market and competitive landscape, create business cases to support new product development initiatives that link directly to the strategic objectives.
  • Define requirements and translate customer problems into requirements that can be understood by supporting Business Analysts, Application Architects and Software Developers.
  • Strive to deliver and maintain bug free products by partnering with fellow Product team members, QA and Software Development teams in pre-release and post-release testing on application code changes.
  • Develop the Go to market strategy. Become the 'hub of the wheel' to work with all areas of the business to ensure that go to market plans are multi-dimensional with the ultimate goal of achieving market readiness across the value chain.
  • Manage Portfolio and product performance KPI's and be enthusiastic to understand the financial and non-financial performance indicators of products directly within the remit in addition to the broader division.
  • Have the confidence to challenge the status quo. Draw upon your knowledge of the market, be confident to challenge how things currently operate and suggest alternative methods to achieve a better outcome for customers and the business.

The successful candidate will have:

  • 5+ years Product Management experience,
  • 2+ years Product Management experience with SaaS products,
  • Experience in product development lifecycle management highly desirable,
  • Proven experience in understanding and working with P&L objectives,
  • Experience in UI and UX design desirable,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
  • Exposure to and ability to work with SAFe framework,
  • Ability to present to internal and external stakeholders,
  • Ability to work autonomously under pressure and knowing when to signal for help as required.
  • Previous experience working in a professional accounting practice or accounting technology business highly desirable,
  • Knowledge of accounting or legal industry would be advantageous
