With Diversity and Inclusion a hot topic for organisations across all industries and functions, HR and Talent teams are searching for that Sweet Spot – where diversity AND inclusion can be achieved and are aligned with the organisations values and strategy.  Edyta Torpy, diversity and inclusion expert and thought leader, has dedicated the last two decades of her career to helping organisations create environments that support diversity through creating inclusive work environments and practices.  Edyta has led award-winning change across Australia and Oceania – as General Manager of Diversity and Inclusion at the Commonwealth Bank, Oceania Diversity and Inclusion Leader at Ernst & Young, as well as in her current role at Allianz Australia as Diversity and Inclusion Specialist, whilst fulfilling her role as Director at Optimiss Consulting and Founder ofin-clusion’ – providing training, resources and solutions for organisations to develop inclusive leadership teams!

As part of our Parity Plus offering to our clients, Edyta will join Parity and its HR and Talent partners at our annual interactive breakfast – where she will share her experiences and insights on diversity and inclusion across her own diverse career, and in particular speak about how diversity is only half of the equation – with inclusive work environments being the other half of the D&I equation.

Edyta has been pivotal in the success of D&I initiatives at Allianz Australia in her current role, as well as CBA and EY – and believes that diversity and inclusion are not only a social justice issues but leadership opportunities within organisations to harvest innovation and realise the full potential of individuals, teams and organisations.

Edyta is a passionate Diversity and Inclusion specialist and Human Resources professional with over 20 years’ experience working with senior executives to help attract, develop and retain diverse talent.  Edyta has held senior positions with organisations such as Allianz, EY and the Commonwealth Bank.  Edyta is a Director at Optimiss Consulting as well as the founder of ‘in-clusion’ which provides on-line solutions and resources for managers to become more inclusive leaders.

Edyta’s drive and commitment to diversity and inclusion has been instrumental in launching new approaches to gender equity, embedding flexible work practices, developing bias-free people processes, mitigating the impacts of unconscious bias and focusing on the alleviation of roadblocks which keep people back from meeting their full potential.
