As part of our Parity Plus series, I am excited to share information on a complimentary Technical Marketing Training Course that we are running in June 2018.
We have partnered with 2 key Industry experts with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Digital and UX spaces within Marketing. They are both highly accomplished professionals and will be facilitating two separate workshops across the day.
This is an exclusive, invite only event. If you would like to be added to our attendee list, please contact us on +61 2 8068 2016 or contact either Debbie or Lisa at Parity.
Workshop 1: Crossing the divide between Marketing and Digital teams
In 1997, Alex got a job in I.T. as a web designer when most people had no clear idea what that was. In the two decades since then, Alex has worked in the UK, the US and Australia, moving through the world of IT and digital platform development, across to agency land and back again into client-side marketing leadership roles, most recently spending a decade at Aussie Home Loans and CBA. Based in Sydney, Alex is a passionate advocate of simplicity and marketing fundamentals, a coach and mentor, amateur renovator, aircraft geek and human climbing frame for his 2 small kids.
Bridging the gap between Marketing and Digital / I.T. – Ever feel like your colleagues in the I.T. department work for a different company to you? Alex will be talking about how and why building relationships with your I.T. department can transform your marketing capability, radically improve your ability to create value for your business and make you a better marketer.
Workshop 2: Crossing the divide between Marketing and UX Design teams
Simon Lester – Head of UX & Design, FlexiGroup
Having worked on many national and multinational projects for some of the worlds most recognised brands, Simon brings an European flavour, whilst acknowledging his country’s inability to create winning national sporting teams. Lover of good photography, fire + bread + marmite, the sound of ice in a glass, cooking, fine Pale Ales, Ricky Gervais and being on two wheels.
Come along if you want to hear practical and sound advice on User Experience*. What it is. What it isn’t. And how you can benefit by working with a UX minded team.
* Simon would also like to eradicate some of the incoherent (and frankly unnecessary) vocabulary often used in our industry and demystify the ‘black art’ of user experience.
