Career Specialists Lucy Singleton, Margot Andersen and Victoria Butt will be leading the seminars for the day.
This exclusive series of seminars is aimed at those who are wanting to achieve progression or identify a different opportunity within their current business and also for those who may be interested in exploring their next opportunity externally.
8.00am – 9.30am
Seminar 1: ‘Positioning Yourself for Success” Margot Andersen – Owner and Director of talentinsight.
Great positioning statements are door openers. Whether or not we are looking to introduce ourselves for the first time or build greater depth and clarity in what we do with those around us, we need to know how to position ourselves for what we do and what we want. Without it, our careers can all too easily stall. Your ability to define, package and showcase your capabilities, ideas and unique strengths and style AND make it relevant to the person you are talking to is your own competitive advantage.
This highly practical workshop will provide you with the frameworks and actions to take to help you:
- Create the right mindset to position yourself with confidence, clarity and purpose …. And in a way that doesn’t leave you feeling disingenuous;
- Define your signature achievement statements;
- Define your own unique positioning for your market, business and network;
- Grow your positioning as an expert in your chosen field.
Margot Andersen is a global careers and leadership expert. As the Owner and Director of talentinsight Australia, she works with individuals and businesses alike to optimise career opportunities, performance and business workforce planning solutions.

Seminar 3: “Putting the ‘How’ in Networking” Victoria Butt – Managing Director of Parity Consulting
We are often told to network more; however we do not always know ‘how’ to go about it, nor do we have excess time to invest in networking. Ineffective networking can damage relationships and lessen confidence levels. If you are regularly connecting to your network in a purposeful way, they will understand your strengths and become your career amplifiers.
In this invaluable session, Victoria will speak on how to:
- Create a framework for you which will kick start effective networking;
- Integrate networking in your work week;
- Implement purposeful networking;
- How to secure a suitable mentor;
