The Opportunity
The core functionalities of this role is providing a broad range of analytical support for our strategy, project and ongoing management activities associated with the Master Trust. The Master Trust team seeks to help members improve their outcomes before and through retirement through a high performing, competitive and innovative superannuation offering. This diverse role would give the successful candidate exposure to superannuation, investments, insurance and "big data" and provides a great platform for career growth in several directions.
Key Accountabilities
Working closely and supporting the Superannuation Actuary
DB monitoring, calculations, trouble shooting, responses to technical queries
Preparation of complex calculations and responses to technical queries
Reviewing communications materials from a technical point of view
Data analytics, insights
Assisting with the Master Trust investment reporting and monitoring, actuarial reporting to board and trustee
Project management of analytical work, particularly as part of cross-functional projects
To be successful in this role you will have
Financial services industry experience (ideally at an insurance or superannuation business)
Actuarial or strong mathematical/data analytical background and studies
Competency with Access and R preferred
Membership of the Actuaries Institute of Australia preferred
Good communication skills
Team player and also able to work independently, reliable
