The Opportunity

About the Role

The key function of this role is to provide support and assist in the delivery of the fund's data strategy helping to improve data literacy and foster a data centric culture across the organization.

This role is tasked with delivering advanced analytics using a range of business intelligence tools and techniques to help empower the organisation in making data driven decisions. Key focus areas of the role are the design and development of reports and interactive dashboards covering all functional areas of the business, supporting the fund in improving operational performance through effective analysis, promoting data literacy across operational teams, and assisting in the delivery of projects and initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Utilising cutting edge technology and analytical techniques to manipulate data and uncover useful insights
  • Designing attractive Deriving and communicating insights and recommendations to enhance business decisions
  • Driving and maintaining operational reporting, analysis, and data management
  • Extract, cleanse and transform data from a range of operational systems and data sources (e.g., workflow, telephony, CRM, Google analytics and Survey Monkey)
  • Promoting data literacy across operational teams and fostering data driven culture

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Management or equivalent
  • 3 years + experience as a Data Analyst
  • Proven background in Insurance and financial services sector
  • Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools (e.g. Qlik, Tableau)
  • Strong and proven skills in data analysis and investigation methods
  • Intermediate data modelling skills including writing of SQL queries and ETL processes
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
