The Company
Our client is one of Australia's major players in the Group Insurance market, looking after the needs of millions of Australians daily. Due to their continued success and growth, they are looking for an experienced and technically strong Life Insurance claims professional for a newly created role within their fast growing product team.
The Opportunity

This fantastic opportunity will offer the successful candidate the chance to be part of that journey by working within the product team and alongside many of the Industry's best within the Group Insurance space.
Key Accountabilities
- Implementing product strategies to ensure profitability of product portfolio
- Developing & reviewing Policy Documents, Product Disclosure Statements and Member communications
- Working with relevant internal stakeholders on key tenders for new business as well as retention of existing business.
- Providing risk assessment and product terms on new business opportunities, ensuring that product terms offered are competitive and supported by internal stakeholders and the reinsurer
- Product development and enhancements with a focus on sustainable product terms
- Developing and promoting value-add solutions for customers
- Developing marketing and technical communication material
- Providing technical support and training to internal and external stakeholders
- Conducting research and compiling data on competitiveness, market trends and business risks
- Liaising with underwriting and claims teams on product development
- Implementing new product policies or procedures as required in compliance with all requirements
- Working with external regulators to ensure compliance across all products
- Ad hoc projects
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Strong technical knowledge across the Life Insurance regulatory and legislative environment
- A very good understanding of product definitions
- Excellent ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Strong influencing skills
- Passionate and a desire to generate innovative ideas
- Drive and enthusiasm.
