The Company

Our client is a global investment firm, and a leader in applying advanced financial science to equity and fixed income investment strategies. They are currently looking for a Broadcast Technician to join their team.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven Broadcast Technician to have the opportunity to develop and be mentored by an experienced Broadcast Technician in the team and work alongside them to manage all aspects of an in-house production studio, ranging from the planning and configuration of broadcasts, to overseeing and troubleshooting the live production environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Operation of the broadcast studio for live broadcasts, video recordings, webcasts and presentations working with internal and external clients to execute a variety of live and on-demand programs
  • Assist with the technical aspects of the production such as lighting, shot blocking, coaching talent and dealing with remote live guests over Zoom or other means.
  • Responsible for managing and troubleshooting audio mixing and video switching
  • Technical responsibility for in-house video/audio conferencing, including assistance with video bridges and audio integration.
  • Proactive maintenance of all audio-visual equipment and software, arranging servicing with vendors as required

To be successful in this role you will have

  • Experience and knowledge working with audio systems, video switching, lighting, camera operation and other support systems typically found in a live broadcast studio environment.
  • Familiarity with HD and 4K camera systems, microphone and audio mixer equipment
  • Experience working in the broadcast industry and in a team environment in a corporate setting
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills, especially at a very senior level.
