The Opportunity
Guide and inspire chapter members as Data Delivery Lead through a helpful leadership approach, fostering the development of the Chapter's expertise. Contribute actively as an individual member within self-managed teams or squads, driving the achievement of business outcomes.
Key Accountabilities
- Fulfill the CoE's resource demands by aligning chapter resources with business/project needs and tracking data delivery leads accordingly.
- Collaborate with broader delivery chapters to implement shared delivery principles and frameworks.
- Establish specific data delivery standards and work methodologies within the Chapter.
- Take ownership of developing a standardized estimation framework for DnA initiative requests.
- Serve as a thought leader in the realm of expertise, guiding, coaching, and inspiring the chapter in performance, standards, and consistent work methods.
- Lead the attainment of chapter development goals (Development OKRs) to enhance capabilities.
- Conduct regular meetings with CoE Lead, Product Owners, other Chapter Leads, and Agile Coaches to gather feedback on chapter members' performance and adapt to changing requirements.
- Address and resolve performance management or organizational issues within the Chapter.
- Oversee the execution of the people model within the craft, including recruitment, onboarding, induction, contribution assessment, performance management, and remuneration review.
- Contribute actively as a member of the DnA Chapter Area and CoE, participating in quarterly business reviews and planning processes.
- Cultivate support among stakeholders for the Chapter's frameworks, standards, and processes.
To be successful in this role you will have
- Proficient in portfolio and initiative planning and delivery within a scaled agile environment.
- Capable of sequencing and monitoring a portfolio of agile initiatives spanning various domains within the organization.
- Successfully leads trade-offs involving scope, risk, and timing, engaging with affected stakeholders.
- Possesses intrinsic knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Data Development Life Cycle (DDLC), with a grasp of historical data implications.
- Comprehension of the Information Lifecycle and end-to-end impacts/dependencies.
- Recognizes the ubiquity of data and communicates effectively across the enterprise.
- Ability to identify and address associated data risks/issues, along with the required complementary data skills mix for successful initiative delivery.
- Familiarity with common data themes, including dependencies, patterns, testing/controls, reconciliation, batch processing, support models, and communications.
- Ensures the delivery of optimal solutions and prevents data debt.
- Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders, including other DnA chapters, functional Data Sponsors/Owners, and business stakeholders.
- Embraces a non-hierarchical culture of interaction, transparency, and trust within squads.
- Demonstrates sound communication skills with all organizational levels and both internal and external customers.
- Possesses technical and business acumen and the ability to resolve bottlenecks in business, IT, and data domains.
- Exhibits excellent analytical, problem-solving, consulting, and coaching skills.
