The Opportunity
This is a pivotal enterprise leadership role, positioned at the centre of strategy, delivery and organisational change. Reporting to the Executive who runs 60% of the business, the General Manager, Strategy, Projects & Product is a significant role within their leadership team. It will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the business and ensuring strategy translates into meaningful outcomes.
With responsibility spanning enterprise strategy, major initiatives, change adoption, Product & and marketing, this role acts as a connector across the organisation - aligning priorities, driving momentum and embedding new ways of working. You will work closely with the executive leadership team, influencing decision-making and helping guide the organisation through its next phase of evolution.
Key Accountabilities
Strategy & Enterprise Direction
- Lead enterprise strategy across business lines, aligning priorities to broader group objectives.
- Identify and assess organic and inorganic growth opportunities, including new markets, products and M&A.
- Translate strategic intent into clear priorities, investment cases and execution roadmaps.
Delivery & Execution
- Own delivery of strategic initiatives, ensuring strong governance, pace and measurable outcomes.
- Oversee a portfolio of enterprise programs and initiatives, balancing resourcing, sequencing and benefits realisation.
- Provide clear reporting on progress, risks and outcomes to executive leadership.
Change & Adoption
- Lead organisation-wide adoption of strategic change initiatives.
- Drive engagement to embed new products, processes and ways of working.
- Support teams through ambiguity, complexity and shifting priorities.
Product, Marketing & Proposition Enablement
- Provide strategic oversight of NPD and marketing to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy and growth priorities.
- Guide development of propositions, bids and onboarding frameworks that support customer growth.
Leadership
- Lead, develop and mentor a senior, multidisciplinary team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Operate with a strong enterprise lens, while remaining hands-on where required.
Ideal Experience
- Senior leadership experience spanning strategy, delivery and change within complex, regulated or asset-backed environments.
- Proven ability to define future direction and translate strategy into executable outcomes.
- Experience leading large, cross-functional initiatives at enterprise scale.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and transformation environments.
- Backgrounds across financial services, fintech, mobility, automotive or consulting-to-industry pathways are well aligned.
- A leadership style that combines executive influence with hands-on problem solving.
