Our client is one of Australia's major players in the wealth management market, supporting millions of Australians on their financial journey each day. Following significant growth and continued investment in their retirement capability, they are seeking an immediately available Senior Product Development Manager to join their Retirement team on a 12-month contract.
The Opportunity
This is a true product development role - not just product oversight. You will be responsible for driving the creation, evolution and enhancement of retirement solutions, taking ideas from concept through to launch and ongoing optimisation.
Operating in a dynamic and innovative environment, you will combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You will identify opportunities within the retirement and superannuation landscape, develop robust business cases, design compelling product features and work cross-functionally to bring new and improved solutions to market.
This opportunity is ideally suited to someone immediately available who thrives in building products, simplifying complex offerings and delivering tangible outcomes.
Location: Sydney or Melbourne
Key Accountabilities
Lead the end-to-end development of new retirement products, from ideation through to implementation
Drive the simplification and consolidation of the existing product suite
Identify market opportunities and translate insights into commercially viable product solutions
Develop business cases, product documentation and go-to-market plans
Manage and enhance existing and legacy retirement products
Partner closely with distribution, operations, risk, compliance and technology teams to ensure successful delivery
Maintain strong stakeholder engagement and alignment throughout the product lifecycle
Ideal Experience
Demonstrated product development experience within superannuation, retirement or investments
Strong background in product design, build and implementation - not solely product management
Proven ability to deliver new financial products in a regulated environment
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
Commercial acumen with the ability to balance innovation and risk
