Job Description

Our client is an industry leader in providing a diverse range of Life, Health and general insurance products to its customers. With a clear vision for continued growth and member retention, they are now seeking an experienced Manager to join their highly collaborative Life Insurance Leadership team on a permanent basis.


The Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager of Life Insurance, the primary responsibilities of this key role will include:

  • Leading and supporting a small but experienced team whose primary focus are Quality Assurance, Disputes and Compliance functions.

  • Providing guidance to the team in relation to complaints handling including root cause analysis and playing a pivotal role in the IDR committee.

  • Assisting the broader leadership team in process improvement and developing strategies to achieve overall business objectives.

  • Ensuring that industry regulations are being adhered including managing communications with AFCA and governance tasks around the Life Insurance Code of Practice.

  • Proving feedback to relevant Managers within the business based on QA results and making recommendations as needed.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Previous team management experience within the Financial Services industry (Life Insurance or Health Insurance is preferable but will also consider General Insurance or Superannuation)

  • Strong experience in one or more of the following areas - Disputes, Quality Assurance or Compliance.

  • Exceptional investigative and disputes resolution skills/experience.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communicational skills

  • Project management and strong process improvement experience
