The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Product Project Manager to join the Investments team. In this key role, you will drive the delivery of strategic initiatives related to investment products, working closely with stakeholders across investment, product, operations, and technology teams. You will be responsible for managing product change and development projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and client needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive professional to contribute to the evolution of a global investment platform.
This a 6-month Brisbane based contract opportunity.
Key Accountabilities
Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of investment product initiatives, from concept through to implementation, across liquid and/or alternative asset classes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Investments, Operations, Technology, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Distribution to ensure successful project execution.
Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business strategy and regulatory requirements.
Identify, assess, and manage project risks and dependencies, proactively resolving issues to minimise impact on timelines and outcomes.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, status reports, and governance materials to communicate progress to senior stakeholders.
Support the design, development, and implementation of new investment products or enhancements to existing offerings.
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of product development and project delivery frameworks.
Ensure a client-centric approach is embedded in all stages of project and product lifecycle.
Ideal Experience
Proven experience in project management or product delivery within investment management, superannuation, or financial services.
Strong understanding of investment products, including one or more of the following: managed funds, ETFs, SMAs, alternatives, or institutional mandates.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects, ideally within a complex, regulated environment.
Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and managing competing priorities in a dynamic setting.
Familiarity with end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and post-implementation review.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to investment products (e.g., ASIC, APRA, RG 97, or equivalent international standards).
Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
Exposure to investment operations, fund administration, or client reporting processes is highly desirable.
