The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Group Pricing Actuary to lead the development and implementation of a new commercial arrangement with a strategic partner. This is a critical, high-impact role that will directly influence the success of an important business relationship.

This is a 4-month contract opportunity for a Sydney based professional.

Key Accountabilities

  • Design and develop robust pricing frameworks for a strategic partnership agreement
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand commercial objectives and risk appetite
  • Create pricing models that align with our overall business strategy while ensuring profitability
  • Analyse competitor positioning and market dynamics to inform pricing strategy
  • Work closely with legal, finance, and underwriting teams to implement the agreed approach
  • Present pricing recommendations to executive leadership
  • Document processes and methodologies for future reference

Required Experience

  • Qualified actuary (FIA/FFA or equivalent)
  • Significant experience in group/commercial pricing within insurance
  • Strong track record of developing commercial partnerships and pricing frameworks
  • Advanced analytical skills with expertise in statistical modelling
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting complex concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Available to start immediately for a 4-month engagement

Desirable Experience

  • Previous consulting or contracting experience
  • Familiarity with strategic partnership arrangements
  • Experience setting up new business models
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations
