The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Group Pricing Actuary to lead the development and implementation of a new commercial arrangement with a strategic partner. This is a critical, high-impact role that will directly influence the success of an important business relationship.
This is a 4-month contract opportunity for a Sydney based professional.
Key Accountabilities
Design and develop robust pricing frameworks for a strategic partnership agreement
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand commercial objectives and risk appetite
Create pricing models that align with our overall business strategy while ensuring profitability
Analyse competitor positioning and market dynamics to inform pricing strategy
Work closely with legal, finance, and underwriting teams to implement the agreed approach
Present pricing recommendations to executive leadership
Document processes and methodologies for future reference
Required Experience
Qualified actuary (FIA/FFA or equivalent)
Significant experience in group/commercial pricing within insurance
Strong track record of developing commercial partnerships and pricing frameworks
Advanced analytical skills with expertise in statistical modelling
Excellent communication skills for presenting complex concepts to non-technical audiences
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Available to start immediately for a 4-month engagement
Desirable Experience
Previous consulting or contracting experience
Familiarity with strategic partnership arrangements
Experience setting up new business models
Knowledge of relevant industry regulations
