The Company
Our client is one of the industry leaders in Retail life insurance, providing financial reliability and dynamic product innovation to its clients. Their strategy is shaped by their customer centric approach, and the drive for greater agility and efficiency in their service offering. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to bring on an experienced Product professional into a Senior Product Manager role on a permanent basis.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Product and working collaboratively with the broader leadership team, you will be responsible for the development of product strategy and product solutions with a focus on regulatory compliance, retention, and growth.
This opportunity will enable you to work within an exceptional team of product professionals supported by leading processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working collaboratively with key internal stakeholders in the delivery of product solutions with a strong focus on member experience and sustainable product terms
- Responding to product management related queries from stakeholders in a timely manner including assisting with training across other operational areas of the business.
- Attending relevant industry conferences and seminars and closely observing market trends and industry change. This will involve working closely with the broader product and pricing teams on overall strategy and striving for competitive advantage.
- Risk analysis and working closely with ReInsurers to obtain sign off on product specifications to ensure client objectives are being met.
- Negotiating approval from key internal departments on non-standard terms
- Implementation of product changes due to regulatory reforms and ensuring the due diligence process is adhered to
- Lead projects and initiatives being conducted in the broader product, pricing and propositions team.
To be successful you will have
- Extensive experience in Life Insurance product management (Superannuation experience will also be considered)
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent negotiation and leadership skills
- Be organised and detailed orientated
- Strong commercial acumen
