The Opportunity
Our clients are seeking qualified and experienced Actuaries to provide advice, improve business outcomes and enable achievement of strategic goals. As part of senior leadership, contribute to the development of the company by identifying business risks and opportunities, while leading and guiding a young team of Actuaries and Analysts.
Key Accountabilities:
- Apply actuarial technical skills to the areas of financial modelling, retirement solutions, investment services or platforms
- Influence product development and oversee all pricing matters to ensure profitability targets are met
- Take lead in investigations, business monitoring and management reporting
- Analyse data and present trends to relevant stakeholders
- Contribute to general management and overall business strategy
- Manage an experienced team of analysts and pricing actuaries
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant degree in Actuarial Studies
- Extensive Pricing or Valuation experience
- Sound knowledge and familiarity with Australian insurance and/or superannuation industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate, build rapport and influence at all levels
- Solid decision making and project management skills
- Solid leadership and team management skills
- Familiarity with actuarial software
- Strong attention to detail
