Job Description
Our Client
Over the past 7 years, our Client has grown from a start-up, to an innovative, successful and well-funded business in the Fintech space.
They are very focused on constant innovation and development of their platform, content, partnerships and advertising opportunities - and as a result are looking for a passionate Senior Product Manager who will be instrumental in helping launch new products and in hitting their ambitious growth goals.
The most exciting part is that the best is yet to come. This organisation is about to change gears and launch a series of innovations and products that will transform the industry and the careers of their team. It's going to be the next massive step up for the business, and we are looking for a Senior Product Manager with the passion, skills and drive to lead it.
The role
We are looking for someone who has been operating at a high level as a Product Manager for at least 5 years. In that time you will have worked in a fast-paced and agile environment taking a product from idea to launch and beyond, worked closely with UX/Product Design and Software Engineering professionals, and gained practical experience in leading customer research, extracting insights from data and quickly solving customer problems.
You will have the support and guidance of an outstanding team who trust each other and share a common purpose. They have a defined 5-year plan in place and everyone is clear on what they need to do to achieve it.
Key Accountabilities
The culture and team fit of this person is incredibly important, which means we are looking for someone who brings creativity and ideas, a team player for whom sharing and lifting everyone around them is second nature, an incessant learner who has the drive to totally immerse themselves in products and audience - and a person who enjoys the success of others as much as their own.
Non-negotiable skills we need you to constantly demonstrate:
- Genuine communication. This boils down to empathy; understanding the impact of product change on stakeholders and being able to utilise a variety of formats to manage it.
- This is the ability to bring people and teams together, guide discussions, build connections and make sure everyone involved is aligned and engaged.
- Customer-lensed. This means being able to put yourself in the end user's shoes, understand their thinking and recognise when an idea is right for them.
Successful Candidate will be:
- Contributing to the ongoing development of product strategy
- Taking new products from concept to launch and iterating on them through ongoing experimentation.
- Collaborating with the brilliant team of in-house engineers and designers in an agile environment, using modern tools and techniques, to create engaging and powerful solutions for our users.
- Getting out from behind the desk and spending time with users and partners to build a deep understanding of them and be inspired by what you learn.
- Being able to work autonomously.
Why Apply?
You will be joining a team who truly live their values of trust, openness, togetherness and growth. You'll get to know everyone in the team, be part of a culture of mutual respect and help support a number of important charities.
This is a potentially career-defining role within a high-performing team with a track record of success.
