The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Finance Data Business Analyst who will be responsible for finance and data business analysis to support the delivery of key initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong data management capability, ideally with a finance/accounting lense.
This is a 6-month contract opportunity for a Sydney based professional.
Key Accountabilities
Deliver actionable insights and recommendations through detailed financial analysis
Highlight opportunities to enhance data integrity across platforms and tools
Analyse large data sets to uncover trends and patterns
Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, conduct analysis, and validate results
Document analytical findings to facilitate knowledge sharing and informed decision-making
Advise on prioritization of initiatives based on program delivery requirements
Verify that all deliverables meet defined requirements and quality standards
Assist in the creation of program documentation, including materials for steering committees and other key stakeholders
Required Experience
Finance Data Business Analyst background with strong Finance Ledger experience (Finance BA background essential)
Understanding of financial ledgers and system nuances
Experience in identifying issues where admin systems are not reflected in financial ledgers
Experience in remediation and / or assurance
Financial Services experience is a must
Available to start immediately for a 6-month engagement
